Din cate stiu ca nr de manastiri, jud. Suceava are cele mai multe, iar dupa aceea urmeaza jud. Valcea.

Asa stiu si eu.
De fapt, zonele subcarpatice din apropierea trecatorilor spre Ardeal au actionat ca o "pompa de rezerva" pentru ortodoxismul de dincolo de Carpati in vremuri mai putin permisive pentru aceasta religie. Citeste spre exemplu despre Badea Cartan.
