I visited this project’ sales and model office at Makati sometime back in June this year. I like the location of the project and was interested in a studio unit for investment purpose. Prior to my visit to meet a broker that would tour me the site, I emailed them to ask if the project has started groundbreaking already and was told that it did back in October of 2010. That was far from the truth as I’ve found out that the “site” was not even fenced and was still being use as a parking lot. Now, this was about six months ago, and I haven’t been back since. At the sales office, I ask the resident sales staff if they already have a license to sell for this project and since she didn’t have the exact response, I was told to follow-up in a few days for the answer. Hhmm… makes one wonder about that! An email and a follow-up later about the subject were futile as it resulted in no response at all. I guess that is their polite way of saying “no.” I would have preferred a response, even a negative one would do. Needless to say, I’ve lost interest on this project because of that experience.
For all the would-be buyers and investors, all I’m saying is to do your due diligence before you part with your hard earned money. I got my nice glossy brochures and units price list of this project during my visit – which was nice! However, it would be more re-assuring if the developer and its sales staff would be more honest and transparent with their sales pitch. I would like to see this project get built in the future as it would enhance the skyline in that part of Makati. However, my take on this project is that it is still a little premature to start a thread for the reasons I have stated above. Have they started groundbreaking already? Do they have a license to sell? Last time I check the HLURB website (today), the answer is still no.
