Sara7a, I was expecting more from the "finalist" pictures. I guess I've been watching too much "the best pictures of Nat-Geo", and my norms got too high...

I am looking for the composition, because this is where the good photographer stands out, not because of the events that he has nothing to do with other than "being there".

Nonetheless, #16, which I like to call the "sexy fa7li", got my vote, although I believe that such an "event" (a "cute" girl fighting alone those numerous police officers) could have given a better result.

what I like about it is the hand of the officer showing from behind the transparent shield, exactly where this girl is striking. I also like the "Converse", her hair, and the fact that the stick is much taller than she is!

What I don't like is the exposure of the shot.

Nice composition, bad execution.

--

I also liked other pictures, although my votes went to the "fa7li", and here they are:

Notice the god rays to the right, the smoke in the middle, and the militant who is arguing/debating "seriously" on the phone, but "carelessly" in the battlefield. This, IMHO, means a lot. Enough said...

The contradiction between Rai's smile and Sfeir's frown made that composition successful IMHO.

Look at their "short pants", they are distributed in pairs. The fact that they are 7 broke the "even" distribution, and the only one who got the same pair of pants that TWO others got (far right) is at the same time the only one who's not raising his hand! It's like he's feeling unhappy because he got "what's left"!

This guy thought that the best thing the "flee with" is his precious collection of gaz jars!!! I imagine him saying to the photographer: "Take as much pictures as you like, but do NOT TOUCH MY GAZ JARS! CAPICHE?"

This is so artistic. The game of the lights and shadows, along with the position of the arms and legs, are painting a piece of art...

--

That's it for now, I have others that I also like and can comment on, bas ma ba2a eli khel2! LOL

For me it was down between this one and the "fa7li" but this would have got my second vote Zippo

This is exactly what I was wondering about. Enno, they are not even twins! I guess the reason is the "event", as I remember those are the new born children on 11-11-2011, if am not wrong...
