this is my paper city.i started with work on this project 6years ago, but i stopped for a long time. in a few last months i decided to finish it, but it was very interesanting so i grew it up.
here is link to my previous thread.its very old http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=542980 i know that my city isnt in right scale, because of roads and heights of building, but my wish is that i have a city, when i look it form side, i have a filling that is the real city with skyscrapers, bridges, parks... a picture from long ago: ![]() betwen ![]() ![]() new city ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Very nice work.
![]() What scale would you say you follow? And how long does it take you to build each building? It would seem that it must have taken you a long time to make this. |

tnx guys, i dont work with scale beacause i started making the city when i was young, and first part of city i was making just for fun...now i regret that i didnt make everything in scale, but i continiue my work from young days =P beside isnt everyting in scale in real look very fantastic and i wanna approach new york design..very high density, many buldings... and now im working with printed building, taken from this forum =P so city is mixed with hand made building, one from cardboard and simple paper... ![]() ![]()

Also, may I suggest something? Your baseboard on which you are building your city looks like it is made out of glue sawdust (I'm sorry, I forget what they call this type of "wood"). These are notorious for warping after time! Believe me, I am a model railroader; I know.
What I would suggest is framing it underneath by 1x2 or 1x4 wood running the length and width of your baseboard. Ideally, you should screw and glue those to the baseboard and each other, but if you cannot drill holes without disturbing the city, just glue them with a good glue. |
