Nice, but you should render it! I can see there's CCTV HQ there!!
but the density and the buildings height looks realistic

Love your urban planning... wish all cities could be at least as dense as that...

the model is really cool, but it seems you're doing something wrong if it takes 15 minutes to render the image and the result is...well not very good
![]() maybe you should give Kerkythea a try

I kind of like the look of the render. I would probably desaturate the water and sand slightly, but other than that I think it looks pretty cool at this point, seeing as you haven't added any textures to the buildings yet. Also, I think I spy some "Global Illumination" in there, so 15 minutes is understandable I guess.
Anyhow, I really like the city planning, it does look very realistic. |

![]() i'm sorry, but are you serous? 15 minutes for an image that looks hardly better than a SketchUp instant-screenshot?

I'm not saying it looks realistic or complex. But if you for instance look closely on the giant buildings facing the large, central green area on the left island, you can see that the sides facing the this green area. You can notice the same effect on waterfront buildings, but in blue. This is because the scene is rendered with "Global illumination", which means that the computer have calculated how light bounces off of surfaces in the scene, indirectly illuminating other surfaces.
I'm not saying that the effect of this makes the picture realistic, nor even takes away from it's simplicity. All I'm saying is that this "Global Illumination" does require some computer power and hence is the reason for the 15min render time, not his choice of renderer. |

You should try and get a decent water texture before commencing the building texturing, this will help to bring everything to life.

First textured buildings are on the Island. I know that this is not very professional render but well here it is :

Good wor, great to see street level view. Will you add street level details i.e lamp posts, traffic signals, trees etc ?
