Tokyo 東京 Kanto 関東 - Yokohama 横浜 | Saitama さいたま | Chiba 千葉

I got some here taken by a friend of mine in Tokyo!

btw, does anybody know off a free picture hosting site that does not shrink pics and allows posting in the forums? Homestead was giving me trouble, hence the smallness of the pics.

It is Tokyo's tallest...

Kenzo Tange is one of my favorite architects! He's so orderly and precise...Just like me...

Can anyone guess what the conceptual inspiration was for TCH? (another building inspired its shape)

I though Tokio´s tallest building had at least 100 floors...

i read that notre dame in paris served as the inspiration. actually, it could have been any number of the french gothic cathedrals. their shapes are all so similar.

If I'm not mistaken, it's the tallest municipal building in the world.

Now that it has been answered, I remember reading that fact in a book somewhere. The cutaways near the top for the satelite and antennae equipment give it away.
