these parking facilities are really interesting. it is a good way to use the "space" above the motorway

when do they plan to finish with the construction work?

Moreover that way of "bridge-parking" offers a foot- and bikeway to cross the motorway.

Massive ground work is now ending and construction starting.
Project is gonna be completely finished in autumn 2007 with first fairs being possible in spring 2007 already.

Especially the parking facilities might open much earlier, e.g. spring 2006, since the fast-growing airport has interest in using it as soon as possible (keeping in mind airport´s and fair´s parking space is sort of common, what makes sense, because in high season there are hardly fairs and much airport traffic, in low season vice versa)
However I don´t know exact schedule regarding single phases of construction.

Installation is gonna start next weekend.

Btw, Stuttgart´s New Trade Fair is supposed to be Germany´s largest construction site at the moment.

Have no list. Indoor space approx.:
Stuttgart old ~ 50.000 m² / new 100.000 m²

Hanover ~ 500.000 m² !
Dusseldorf ~ 250.000 m²
Frankfurt ~ 325.000 m²
Cologne ~ 275.000 m²
Munich ~ 180.000 m²
Leipzig ~ 100.000 m²

=> Stuttgart is not aiming at the hugest exhibitions anyway.
It´s about sustainability, modernity and most of all optimal transportation.

The location and the design for the new Stuttgart fair are great . It looks like one can walk over from the airport...
