A PICTORIAL OF GREECE'S GLORIOUS HISTORY
Well, we all love to dream of skyscrapers one day popping up in Athens and perhaps Thessaloniki, but let's be honest here, skyscrapers can be built anywhere and anytime.
However, what cannot be duplicated or "mass produced" as the skyscrapers of today are the ancient temples, buildings, stadiums, and theatres of Greece's glorious past. Below I present pictures of some, and I REPEAT, some, of Greece's most fabulous ancient works of wonder. In Greece no matter where you turn there is thousands of years' of history surrounding you, so below I have posted the ones that I can think of: Athenian Treasury, Delphi: Temple of Apollo, Delphi: Theatre at Delphi: More Delphi: ![]() Ancient Stadium at Delphi: The Parthnon of Athens: (With two honeys in front of it): Parthenon During the Winter: The Fortified Walls of the Parthenon: The Massiveness of the Parthenon: Temple of Poseidon, Cape Sounion: The Beauty of the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion: ![]() The Lion Gate at Mycenae: Mycenaen Tomb: The Citadel of Mycenae: Temple of Zeus at the Base of the Acropolis: ![]() Massive Theatre at Epidavros: Ancient City of Corinth: Ancient Olympia (Site of the First Ever Olympic Games): Beautiful Knossos, Crete:

Some of the best preserved temples of the Greek world are in southern Italy and especially Sicily.
