RYDE/RHODES [All Projects & Discussion]

I recently took a heap of pics from around the North Ryde/Lane Cove West area. Talk about a canyon of skyscrapers, looks like theres one forming along the banks of the Lane Cove river (nothing too big). I was near the intersection of Epping road and Mowbray road. I'll post the pics tomorrow, it's playing up a bit now. Does anyone else have any good pics, or know any threads.

i drove thru Ryde yesterday on the way to central Coast. The area looks amazing, dotted with cranes and many dozens of apartments and office bldgs uc in every direction!
I have 3 skyscrapers listed on Emporis> and 4 lowrise. there will be many more.
we will have to replace fabians bridge pic asap. we need a skyline shot. There are many vantage points that would show it well/.

I have a feeling the high rise count for Ryde has increased dramatically (well doubled at least). It would be hard to find a skyline though as the buildings stretch the whole way from Lane Cove West (not part of Ryde but close and developing much the same) to Epping, all along Epping road. Will need a few skylines. But North Ryde buildings lining the Lane Cove River looked very impressive to me. I would guess there were three buildings there scraping high-rise levels, they a concealed by the trees somewhat. Can't wait to look over the pictures I took, hope I can find a good.

Also, this was supposed to be in the pictures thread. Can I move it?

^ better off in this thread. more appropriate. more people from Sydney will see it here.
there wouldnt be that many skyscrapers (over 35m), mainly lowrise bldgs need to be compiled.

Satellite photo of North Ryde. It's at least 1 year old though.

It's all part of the whole Ryde experience. And Marsfield.

Nice pics. Here are some of the ones I got. This is just around the Epping road/Lane Cove river intersection.

North Ryde, between the Lane Cove river and Delhi road is a bunch of offices. I took these photos from the other side of the river and from up a hill further along Epping road.

Well I haven't quite worked out how to post pics. I made a yahoo group with this location

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sydscraper/

It has some pictures I took of Bankstown, Chatswood, Hurstville and Ryde. I've also got Parramatta, Inner West, Homebush and St. Leonards, working on the other satellite CBDs.

So how can I use the group picture to show on the board? Thanks for any help

sorry, looks like only yahoo groups members can access that site. I'll try image shack.

Here are the Ryde Pictures. Some of the buildings are on the block between Epping road, Delhi road and Lane Cove River. I took these pictures from Mowbray park and Epping road. The yellow buildings are in Lane Cove West, as seen from Epping road.

The last one is the Microsoft building facing Epping road.

Hope you like them. I still have to continue down Epping road, I turn off at Lane Cove rd on the way home from work in Chatswood. peaking of which, I took this waiting for the lights on Mowbray rd, overlooking train line.

And another Chatswood skyline from Chatswood Chase mall.

I'll stop before getting too carried away.
And one more thing, after you post images do the images no longer appear for the poster, I can't see the images I put up before anymore.

Think I'll head off to the north side of Chatswood now. I always like the Zenith towers the best here, they look great coming out of the trees as you drive south along the Pacific highway.

I got some pics from Macquarie Park also now. My computer is not working too well at the moment, Paint keeps crashing, but here is one pic of the Avaya building on Epping road. I'm pretty sure this is not listed on Emporis, but looks high rise.

The new underground railway will provide 3 new underground stations to service the North Ryde area. It explains why developers have gone crazy snapping up prime real estate. They'll be much more to come shortly.

Here are a few more from Macquarie Park, the same area as the Avaya building.

There are some buildings going up near the M2 that are worth a look.

Enjoy
