1984 March El Al records the first international Boeing 767 flight - Montreal/Tel Aviv.
1988 May El Al operates its longest non-stop flight in history: Los Angeles/Tel Aviv: 7,000 statute miles in 13 hours, 41 minutes.

Founded in 1996 to fly scheduled domestic flights between Tel Aviv and Eilat, Israir, the country's second largest carrier, has also been flying internationally between Israel and major destinations in Mediterranean Basin, Europe, and New York these past few years and now operates a fleet of Boeing 767-300 and 757 aircraft and ATR'S with comfortable seating for 50. In addition, the company, which employs a staff of more than 350 employees, offers special charter flights and a variety of other tourism both in Israel and elsewhere where the airline flies. Israir carried more than 580,000 passengers during 2004.

Working from the very beginning with a philosophy that places staff awareness of standards of service at the center of its activities, Israir continues to invest serious effort and resources in training for excellence, offering its passengers, whether on international or domestic flights, the highest possible level of quality in the newest planes.

formed in the late 1940s as a sheduled domestic operator based at Lydda Airport (now Tel Aviv Airport), in association with the state carrier, El Al.

New info about EL-AL fleet:
EL-AL buy two Boeing 777 Aircrafts

EL-AL buy one Boeing 737 Aircraft (first use: 22.11.2005)



ARKIA:
Arkia ownership :

Boeing 737 - 18
Boeing 727 - 1

all the Aircarfts are in service at other compeins.

You just forgot to mention 2 international airports will open in a few years:
Eilat new airport (under construction) and Haifa (already international but will get a huge extension and basically be Israel's second largest airport)

eilat internationlal Airport in few years? you kidding my... you live here to know that maybe in more 5-6 they only going to destory the old one...
