Shizuoka is not in Tokyo metropolitan
Shizuoka - tokyo = 150 km ( I not sure)

The population of Shizuoka is 709,970.
Recently it was combined together with Shimizu and many other cities to form the new Shizuoka city. The skyline may seem small for its population, but it's because the population is scattered all over the large city area.

Shizuoka has 3 ku (ward) Suruga-ku, Aoi-ku, and Shimizu-ku. While Tokyo has 23.

Shizuoka is about 100km from Tokyo.

Nice and clean city but the skyline doesn't fascinate me that much! It's typical of most Japanese cities!
