Since that idiot wasted the other thread I thought I would start another thread on Celtic Park in Glasgow. It holds approximately 60,400 and at the minute is the second largest club stadium in Britain.

Great stadium, meant to one of the best for atmosphere in the country. Will the main stand be rebuilt in the future to match the rest of the stadium?

The Rangers/Celtic thread was going fine until you and your moronic buddies turned up. The thread was going for over 6 months, then 3 days after you and your 'celtic minded' moronic chums turned up - guess what? - it got shut down. So there is the proof that it was idiotic celtic morons that got the thread closed.

Here is some more pics of the San Giro -

John Carpenter, disappointing but not suprising that a hun would turn up to try and wreck another thread, if you showed both grounds in equal light there would have been no problem, the surrounding area of the ground is totally irrelevant by the way. Here is another picture of the ground you might enjoy though

"Taig" I'm suprised it took you 3 posts to bring up religion, so 'dignified' of you. To neutral observers sadly this is what we have to live with in Scotland I started an innocent thread about a football stadium, didn't even mentioin anything else and this idiot comes on and starts with religious crap and tells me to go and sell some drugs. I'm just glad you are being publically shown up for what you are, vermin.

"Rangers FC are a permanent embarrassment and an occasional disgrace, Scotland would be better off without them and their moronic fans"

Have to agree with that

Heres a little video for an example how the atmosphere can be

http://usp.stpaulifans.de/barca_ynwa.wmv

There was talk a while back of building on top of the main stand to complete the 'bowl' but it would apparently be difficult because the facade is protected from major work as it is basically untouched since the early 20th centry The basic shape has remained the same since then...

Main Stand 20s/30s

Exterior 20s/30s

Exterior Again

In saying that if the demand was there and it became cost effective it would definitely happen, taking the capacity to circa 75,000

Basically untouched!!!

It has been rebulit about 5 times, most recently in the early 80's and now looks like an office block. It ain't listed, as shite buildings don't get listed. What an absolutely pathetic main stand!!! These celtic fans don't half talk some shite!! Their stadium cost £30 million. £30 million for 60000 seats. It must be the cheapest stadium in the world per seat. A few years ago there was a windy day in Glasagow and half the roof blew off. The game was prosponed and when it was played the next week, the away fans turned up wearing hard hats!!!

The stadium is full of exposed pipes and wiring! Cheap rubbish for cheap people!! It really is a complete dump!!

Huns and lies eh...

It wasn't rebuilt I can assure you, look at the picture below hun tell me what you see, old Celtic Park in the 80s and the main stand is the same shape

The facade was just changed.

As for the lie about "Half the roof blowing off". What actually happened is that a small piece of guttering came loose, if thats "half the roof" then you are indeed a liar. Of course it will be a dump in you're opinion, you're support is with a peripheral football team in Scotland but I would appreciate it if you would stick to the facts, indicentally about our stadium being "cheap" that stinks of a remarkably short memory considering what has happened in the not too distant past in other stadiums in Glasgow.

Also our stadium didn't "Cost £30m". The REbuild did. And I can assure you the main building of Celtic Park is a listed building.

are you a retard or something? I said it was last rebuilt in the early 80's!! You really are thick! Does it look a 100 years old? No, it looks like a 70's office block!

Well, look at the other pictures then from the nineteen twenties. I didn't think you would need directed to every individual picture, must be the education I suppose

Why the main building is listed? that's the only part of the stadium which I do not like...? For the rest it is okay I guess (when you are inside because from the outside it is not so pretty?

Sounds great value to me.

Are you sure about the price? Man U's expansion (extra 8,000 seats) will run to more than that.

It was closer to £40m, still good value I reckon. What he is failing to mention though is that it wasn't a completely new build only a rebuild of most of the stadium and a modernisation of the main stand.

Yup - £31 million. Cheap shite. You should visit it, it's a dump. Big but crap. My mate works for Barr construction and he said he was shocked it got a safety certificate as so many corners were cut. Just visit it and you will see how cheap it is.

Well you're mate can't be a very good judge as I can't remember too many "Celtic Park disasters". And that is not a dig at the victims of a terrible accident by the way but showing you up for the hypocritical idiot you are. Sadly alot of people died as a result of you're stadium not being up to standard so how you can criticise our safety record is astonishing
