CITY LIFE: possible Sim City killer??? Total 3D!!!

Ha... Maxis took so long to develop a real 3D Sim City game that another developer is doing it before Maxis... CITY LIFE...

The game is still in development, hasnt even been officially announced yet. So the graphics may become even better till the release. And the dreams of seeing your city from inside has finally come true!

Its looks good ill give you that but sim city can and will do better of course we will be exploding with anger waiting for all the stuff to load. The only thing i dont like is it looks cartoonish and the hi-rises repeat too much.

I don't like this game...it looks like a crap attempt to make sim city into grand theft auto.

The list goes on and on as to why I won't buy this, sorry.

You have seen only pics and you already say there is a huge list of reasons why you wont buy it???

There is only one reason: fanboy closed-mindness towards the game you already know and love. Its the same as children, who dont want to taste new food because they are already happy with the simple food they already eat.

All Im going to say is, if they want to win over SM fans, they better improve that terrain, and get rid of the whole plastic feel to it.

And lot's of leather.

I know what you are on about, though. To me, it look's like SC3K in 3D.

No farms, no suburbs, bad graphics, won't buy.
Looks like a newbie's game if they think SimCity is too hard.
How hard is it on the PC, how fast can it go, and the terrain looks horrible.

However, I do like the custom-curved streets, but no highways, el rails, RAILROADS, or anythinng.

If you like the looks of this, go get simutrans for free. Google simutrans, and download it (really sucks, but fills in what the rails system shoul've had in SimCity)

How do you know there are no farms, no suburbs, no railroads, etc??? Just because of these few pics? How do you know they wont implement such things before the final release? Graphics are bad? Better than SC4 at least, since SC4 its not even 3D...

This game sucks compared to Sim city. Its not real enough yet, and there's way too many buildings that look the same. And like others have said, there's no farms or railroads or anything. As far as i'm concerned, this game needs alot of changes and improvments before I invest in it. I'm sticking to Sim city.

There are no left turn lanes & don't have the correct spaced out center lines, even for the avenues...
They obviously didn't put in the detail as to how roads REALLY look and work.

And those things are included in a stock copy of SC4?

Cities in SC4 really look and work like a real world city?

Gosh, some of the cities Iv seen people post are scraper after scraper...

Although I wouldn't say SC4 doesn't come close to being a real worl city (commutes 5 miles or more are considered "long"), this game looks like plastic cities with superwide sidewalks. Simcity killer? I shall hardly think so.

eventhough it looks good graphics wise, I am still skeptical that it will be anything as good as sim city has been in the recent releases. City Life seems very limited.

Yes, but SimCity 1 was in what-1992 or something? This is 2006, and it looks like SimCity 2000 with plastic 3-D. Bland Still, and SimCity was a pioneer in the industry, CXity lIfe isn't.
