Compared to this I think Sarajevo is changing for the better, I give it 10 more years and Sarajevo will be an awesome city to live in!

I was at the National Theatre in February, it looks exactly the same, as if it hasn't changed from the picture above.

It hurts to see Vijecnica like that. It will probably be rebuild to it's old glory but the priceless literature is lost forever.

But indeed, as for the rest... it's all rebuild or better. I must say though, that it was a lot cleaner back then. Especially outside downtown...

An all glass skyscraper in the shape of the current Parliament would look excellent. MAL is doing the reconstruction, and they specialize in glass. Having three current all glass skyscrapers and other two in the near future, Sarajevo will have the best skyline in all of Ex-Yugoslavia.

girls in Sarajevo before

girls in Sarajevo today

hehe, Sarajevo looked really like world, it didn't look as good as today, but you all look it estetically, and few of you know the real spirits of a city, and that's just what a city is. Sarajevo had really great spirit before, and you can see it by faces of people! but all of the good people when war started went out , to Sweden, Switz, Germany.. and many peasents came, just as in other big cities in ex :YU But it kept the fun.

I can just imagine how Sarajevo looked like during the olympic games, does anyone have picture of that?

Sarajevo is a jewel of Balkans!

Try visiting Sarajevo to actually see what it's like. There are rarely any woman that cover their heads. And they probably existed back then too, but just didn't go outside as much as they can now.

Sarajevo's population might have left, but the true spirit of Sarajevo still hasn't gone anywhere. Sure, a couple of years of war might have tired the people out. It might have made them less hopefull for a better tomorrow, but it the real Sarajlija is still there.

Oh, and in my opinion, most of Sarajevo looks better now than it did back then. Many facades back then were rotting worse than they are now, and there was much less color around the city.

I don't know what you are talking about, but you have such a wrong view of Sarajevo.

Old women cover up yes, but if you look at recent pictures you wont see one girl cover up. So really, I don't see how you manage to make this up?

But w/, Serbs always have their way of looking at Bosniaks I guess.
