What's with the people on the horses? Are they reject cops?

The Woodlands looks surprisingly nice. The tree cover and parks do a lot to make the place look much better.

Woo hoo! Artificial, plastic density!
Well, I guess it's better than nothing, and signals a shift in the right direction |

Not too bad at all. I once heard that their goal was to be the "downtown" of North Houston, so who knows, maybe it one day will be.
![]() I actually work not far from FM 1960 and rarely go to the Woodlands, unless I'm going to a concert.....and that has been a while now. I'm glad to see it's progressing in the right direction. |

So this is the famed "Woodlands" I heard so much about....didn't know it was a NU development.

It needs some deadheads and street musicians to make it real. Add a few bums and you'll have the ideal lifestyle in The Woodlands.

no offense but i don't think The Woodlands goal is to follow the footsteps of New Orleans.
Anyway, lovely pics. The Woodlands to me is the best suburb in Texas. It is probably one of the Houston metro area's proudest assetts.

Oh, I'm just joking....I'm an appreciater of culture and not plastic...but, I understand that people like that "perfect," lifestyle....we have a place called Mandeville/Covington, where life is so perfect and ideal that it makes one want to vomit.

I wish the Conroe hills were just a bit further south. The Woodlands only has a few small hills.

While the built environment may look overly saccharine in some places, the attempt at urbanity and creating a destination more than makes up for its arch-WASPYness.
