Broadgate Tower site tour for regular forumers
The Senior Construction Manager at Broadgate has kindly offered to arrange for (possibly two) group visits to the Broadgate Tower, including a visit to the top just before the cranes are dismantled. The trip/s will most likely take place on a Saturday toward the end of January. As places will be limited, it is necessary to arrange a list of forumers that have a: Shown a particular interest in this project. b: Are regular contributers to the forums c: Prepared to follow the stringient Health & safety instructions, including the wearing of all safety equipment as supplied and prescribed. c: Be prepared to allow the use of their pictures and comments of the event to the facilitators d: As places are very limited, be prepared to inform the site via the thread ASAP if you can no longer attend. This will allow a place for another forumer. E: The offer is subject to the good will of the Senior Construction Manager and his organisation. He cannot be held responsible for any untoward cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, nor can this site. Note: The Site Manager is taking a lot of time and effort to facilitate this and It should go without saying that the visit ideally will be good PR for their organisation; one would hope this is reflected in the way we present ourselves to ensure future visits to other projects.. As stated previousley, the Site Manager ultimately has the right to make the final decision on who can attend, considering the above points. First refusal Places are already reserved for the forum owner and Moderators: Gothicform WillFox Tubeman Apologies for all the instructions but its too good an offer to mess up. Please feel free to add comments with your names. Would love to if there's a place spare. It would be good to see the Willis gang again and get a few cheeky ones in the Light Bar!

Its looking good so far guys...I forgot to mention, the Site Manager will be open to questions...it would only be fair to state your questions beforhand on here, so he gets to prepare himself. Cheers.
@ Smoggie Si...I already know that Jimbo would be up for it after our last visit. It would be great to meet up with the old crowd and see some of those faces not yet scrutinised!

Currently warming up after a morning of -15 temperatures in Sunshine, Banff. Muchos snow, and zero faceplant action yet, so clearly not pushing myself enough. Happy New Year to everybody. |

Nice work on arranging this mate. Sadly I'm busy that weekend maybe I can make a future trip (if there is one)
This is a great thing the company is doing, I hope it's a sign of things to come. Hope everyone who does go takes lots of pics for everyone who can't!

Yes. A group of us went up to the 21st floor (the higest concreted floor a that stage) and 16th floor terrace. It was awsome going up in a construction lift! Also the wind was so terrific...we could not believe how much the cranes were swaying.
I would slightly disagree about the PR value. This forum is filled with professionals (and future professionals) in the industry and related fields. Many of us write, email and stand up for such developments. Our picures are seen all over the world and bear in mind that Gothicforms Site is the most rtead of its kind in the world. BL used one of our forumers pics on their hoardings for Willis
