I agree, the name is stupid. It reminds me of all those hotels on the Bulgarian coast with Spanish names. But on the other hand, what are they going to call it? "Gevgelija Resort"? That sounds like a gas station. And I hate even more those cliches like "Paradise Hotel" etc.

Either way, if the investment is big enough, who gives a flying f*ck about the name?

Both projects in Gevgelija are fine... And there are a couple of more coming along but we don't have enough info on them.

For example the new spa complex

The lousy scan looks promising I can't wait to see a hi quality render

Wonderful projects!!! The first one looks like a roman estate or something from 2000 years ago!!! Nice design!!!
The Greeks who come to Gevgelija and the southern part of your country for turism will appreciate these hotels for sure!

Well all of this as well as the new ski resort in Kozhuf is being built with Greek tourists in mind Although i think i dont have to tell you the investors are building them for the casinos rather than the hotels.
BTW the main investor of california resort is some greek-australian

@realek You just confused me i thought there was only 2 hotel/casinos being built sheraton princess and california resort (maybe they changed the design on one of them or something )

I agree but that would make too much sense to happen, besides its a foreign investor so he chooses the name.

i see that not much has changed with the greeks regarding Macedonia. I hope the mods are quick like they are in the international highrise sections. No tolerance accepted. Political bullshit shouldnt be part of this forum.

Sorry for going off topic.

Now that Sheraton Princess looks amazing. This is in Skopje I assume?

Gevgelija is a border town with Greece. Until the announcement of this project the main industry was a Free-shop.

There are no free shops in Macedonia. Gevgelija region income is based on agriculture, transport and services. The tourism segment started kicking in more seriously from recently (Kozuf Ski Center, hotels/casinos, new spas planned)
