Egyptian Subforum? - Poll

Just wanted to gauge the interest for an Egyptian sub-forum, despite being a powerhouse in the Middle East & Africa, there is very little content here regarding development in Egypt, due in part to a lack of Egyptian forumers I would imagine. SSC Africa is somewhat messy and I think an Egyptian forum would spark growth amongst potential forumers from the old country as well as having a (open) place to discuss development, news, politics, antiquities and all things about the great Egypt.... What does everyone think?

Btw everyone if you go to page 2 of the Projects and Construction page in the SSC Africa Sub-forum it is literally a list of egyptian projects, that need their own forum

Hi I am an Egyptian and Egypt does need his own subforum there are many projects Egyptian around.

I concur. A sub-forum would be lovely.

Guys I suggest you make a thread in the About the Forums section of the forum as the admins tend to take notice of you. It's how we got the attention of an admin with regards to the upcoming changes to the South African forum.

Of course, Egypt needs it. It has more than 70 mil people and sizable economic size, plus now active members Cartel and egypt69.

I think an Egyptian Forum is a necessity on SkyscraperCity. Nobody could be opposed to this idea.

It would be great to have a forum for Egypt. It could even encourage more Egyptians to register on SSC.

Exactly. So I've just sent a message to all the mods in this section, also to Jan, drawing their attention to the thread and requesting a sub-forum be created. Something ala Tunisia I think would be ideal. If anyone else is really keen they should also send some of the mods a message, this is the only reason that we finally got a sub-forum for New Zealand, constant nagging!

Great!! I sent a message to Dysan, and he was really co-operatice (I think he hate me cuz i nag too much)

He said to post something about it in the About The Forums section

Dysan can't do anything about a forum sadly. We've been trying to get new sections added to the South African forum for ages, but only an admin can do that. Thankfully Jasonhouse took note and will be implementing the changes for us.

I've heard from a couple of the mods, both of whom are really supportive of the idea, but the decision is up to admin. And to warrant a sub-forum we need to have substancial traffic (which we can't exactly show without having one right?) as some on the newly created African sub-forums may be closed in the near future cuz they don't have enough traffic
