I thought it was interesting that Weber Thompson, seemingly at random, just posted the design model video to their vimeo account:

I can't believe it's been 5 years since anyone posted on this thread. Hopefully, this is a positive sign that will change all of that.

AVA, 815pine, and the stubby one on top of the tunnel would finish this neighborhood off nicely

That really is quite random that they recently uploaded it. You can tell it's a pretty old video since they don't have 815 Pine included in it despite that tower being one of their designed projects as well. I'm sure something will be built on that corner sooner than later but that particular project as we know it is probably dead.

Maybe they figure there are enough hotel/condo projects and are going to do something else. Whatever, why the expired video?

It is a pretty nice looking building. What would make it interesting, but might scare developers, is that with the growth around it views will be minimal-city only. Is there currently a market in Seattle for that? Hope so.

That part of town will be interesting, including the Hedreen project. It'll be a fantastically dense mix of housing, offices, hotels, and retail. With that plus transit, walkability throughout the office core, etc., It sounds worthy of high prices regardless of lack of views.

As for the project, if something happens in the permit records, that would be a sign.

During that fly-by video there is a moment where the viewer flys by the terraces on the 5th floor or so and the camera pans higher, and higher, and higher and I said to myself, "Damn, that's a monster building."

Views of the city?? How dare you suggest such a blasphemous notion! Everybody knows the only true views in Seattle are of the Space Needle and natural scenery. Skyscrapers only get in the way of that! Which is why there should be parking lots and low-slung one-storey warehouses everywhere. That is precisely why New York newspapers never advertise city views. Ever!

Nice video. I don't think we should get too excited about this project until we hear official announcement from AVA developer first. We haven't hear anything about it for years. It is really odd that they posted that video recently. I hope we will get to hear about AVA project really soon.

$90 million indicates the original tower. Thats good, I wonder if it will stay condominium.

Wow...the changes downtown over the next 5 years are going to rival any period in city history.
