First time browsing through your spectacular and vivid thread, and I am particularly amazed at how developed Jakarta's skyline has become... I used to live in Manila, and your skyscrapers reminded me of how busy Manila was as I grew up there for 18 years, and when I moved to San Francisco, life has been much different for me. I truly love your city's skyline a lot as it reminded me of home, and looks like more malls have been constructed all over the metropolis over time. What's most amazing are your panorama shots: indeed, I can see progress truly at work over Southeast Asia's largest city, and I would really love to visit it once I finish school and start touring around the world in the search of how to make cities even better and more livable over time. I may not remember the names of structures or monuments dedicated to Suharto or any Indonesian leader, but I am most impressed with the number of buildings that have sprouted over the city over the decades.

Fantastic shots, my friend! Looking forward to more photos from you!

Is it just me, or is it that Jakarta is modernizing by leaps and bounds to a point that, I sense, Manila is falling a bit behind? Those skyscraper and city images look truly spectacular, a testament to how Southeast Asia's largest metropolis has evolved very quickly, and I can truly sense that Jakarta is indeed a global city in its own right. Question: which structure in Jakarta is your most favorite, and why?

Very spectacular shots, my friends! Keep them coming!

Thank you, I hope you can enjoy Jakarta through my photos. It's so exciting, when Jakarta became seemed deserted, quiet, cool and fresh .. and an atmosphere like that can only be found on Sunday morning until noon only .. rest, on weekdays (Monday to Saturday) Jakarta will be back in its original condition ... where millions of vehicles and tens of millions of people were milling around, again filled the streets up to the corners of the city (24 hours).... so, we call Jakarta as The City That Never Sleeps ! ...
However, Jakarta is still enjoyable with its uniqueness .. a hypercity with population of more than 35 million .. as well as the largest city in Southeast Asia who holds the title as the capital of the Republic of Indonesia ..

SELAMAT DATANG DI JAKARTA ... Welcome To Jakarta !

i think Manila was underwent a economic crisis cause the economic have a lot of troubles but until 21st century, the economic was stable and now,Philippines till one of 6 biggest countries in Asean and Asia even though Philippines is smaller than Idonesia but it's no problem and i till think the skyline of Philippines more beautiful than Indonesia =]]I like the growth of GDP in Indonesia the most,it's very fast and high
