341 Eastern Parkway Gets A New Look, Reveals Interiors

"The eight-story 341 Eastern Parkway at the corner of Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights is moving full steam ahead, and BuzzBuzz Home has some new details. During the Brooklyn Real Estate Summit, David Maundrell of aptsandlofts.com confirmed that the development's 65 condos will hit the market in spring 2014. He also revealed yet another new look for the building—this is the fourth rendering that has floated around. It seems as though the designer changed once again, too; it's now the Meshberg Group."

there is so much going on in NYC... it probably has the highest rate of construction in the world (besides Chinese cities obviously)

oh I have, but NYC is insane! you get parks, universities, and building after building after building. Here is what I find amusing though: some of the construction going on here is seen like fillers by New Yorkers whereas if they were built anywhere else they would be regarded as monumental projects.

NYC IS the capital of the World

No need to make a city vs. city situation out of this. I think its safe to say that both cities have massive amounts of construction going on. Not to mention that Toronto probably has both beat in terms of skyscraper construction going on currently.

560 West 24th Street continues its excavation. This will be a small 8 unit building on a sliver site near the river.

529 West 29th Street has gotten clad. This building is being built by Related as affordable housing (political trade off for Hudson Yards). I think it may be one of the fastest buildings I've ever seen built. Cladding isn't awful, but it isn't great either. Soon it will get lost amongst new large scale buildings in the neighborhood.

The rear:

The area in the foreground in the picture above is being used by Related as a staging area for both the Hudson Yards Towers and 529 West 29th. I'm sure it will eventually be developed with something quite substantial in size.

520 West 29th Street is ready excavation and construction. This site was recently cleared of two one-story buildings. The area to the east was a parking lot (that has also been removed).

Something is brewing on the south side of 28th Street as well. This site has recently been cleared. I don't know of any specific proposals for the site however:

The developers for this building completed this condo on 19th Street a couple of years ago:

This building on 24th Street will cozy up to one of the best buildings on the High Line IMO (center).

To add to sbarns awesome West Chelsea update, the buildings on 29th and 11th Avenue have been torn down, and heavy machinery was on site on Friday. No clue what's going on there, but given how much construction is going on in that area, wouldn't be surprising to see something rising there very soon.

One block north, at 169 10th Avenue an even larger building is being demo'd for I presume for a mystery development. Does anyone have more info?
