Nice pics!

Btw, why do they have to make throw screens so fugly? They go to a lot of trouble to get big lumps of concrete to look reasonably aesthetic.. and then they go and ruin it.

With a couple more of the current sections under construction to open this year the Pac highway is just about the route of choice now because of how much good quality DC there soon will be. And once ST 2 of Kempsey bypass and the Warrell CK to Urunga and Oxley HWY to Kempsey bypasses are done in 3 years time it will be a no brainer. It will take another 10 years minimum to complete the Grafton bypass and remaining sections though.

I would agree with that

X2 but interestingly over many years i have gone through between Singo and Muswellbrook any of the mine expansions that have had say conveyor belt crossings built as a new bridge or a rail crossing via a bridge they have provisioned the bridge for dual carriageway yet the latesy conveyor crossing near lemington rd has not been designed or built with dual carriiageway in mind, not sure what that means at the end of the day except that it will probably be 10 times the price to do it when it ultimately needs to be but in all honesty dual carriageway from Singo to Mbrook is a long, long, long way away.

Hang on, they're renaming the F3 "Pacific Motorway" now as well as designating it M1?

Fantastic pics Lijman!

I noticed the F3 to Raymond Terrace section is now included in the Hunter upgrade. An extension of the F3 to Raymond Terrace. Now not included in the Pacific Highway upgrade. Confused?

Yes, they sensibly after 20 years move the Pacific Highway onto the freeway (and the Princes Highway will also move to the freeway route Waterfall-Yallah).

But then, they outdo themselves in stupidity by not moving the New England Highway onto the freeway route (but will move the M15/A15 designation).

Nice shots Lijman. Good to see an M15 actually.

Definitely.

I would like to ask. Is there any way to contribute to the F3 to RT design at this stage? I can see a significant improvement possible but have no idea who to talk to.

Are they actually doing this? I haven't seen any indication that the existing highways will be renamed.
