Good to see that this has finally restarted after being in suspense for so long, despite its truncated appearance compared with Waterview Tower's original design. Seems such a waste though, since foundations were constructed for something much taller. But 630feet/192m and 59 floors would be the envy of many cities abroad, so one shouldn't complain.

I'm really surprised at how good the first row of glass looks! It turned out much better than I thought it would, judging by how bad some glass on recent Chicago midrises turned out.

Also, it doesn't look like they will keep the idea of the cut-out lines on the front facade.

No, this will be plain glass, but that can look very good as well.

You can see a cut-out on the sides. Either way, the cladding has impressed me so far. Usually in the first 2-3 rows the cladding of any building looks horrible, but this one looks great so far. Can't wait to see the final result!

They are following the design so far, you just can not see the cut out on the front because that is on the bottom portion of the building, before the big transition floor. They started the glass on this floor. Everything up until the cut away will be a solid facade.

I'll bet the residents of Chicago will be happy to see the concrete unfinished blob finally covered by gorgeous glass. The stump was an eyesore.
