Are they seriously going to open a brothel at the airport?

Nothing says "Welcome to Germany" like a nice happy ending.

Well, if they aren't able to offer the most popular destinations from the airport, at least they try to bring the most popular holiday destinations to people. In that case Pattaya.

Most people guess sometime in 2015. We will find out in late September - that's how long stocktake is meant to take.

OMG what the hell has gone wrong?! For the costs that are being forecast, it would be better to just bring this terminal down and construct a new one! hahah

I don't understand how could they find 20 thousand problems, I mean, how can a project go so wrong? Seriously, from what I have read this airport has some very basic problems - like floor cracks and so on -apart the super modern fire contention system. And what it's taking so long to the involved staff to know what the solution is and how long it will take?

One has recently predicted a 2017 opening - if 2010 was the original plan, that'd be a 7 year delay.

I don't really even want to think of the further delay penalties involved.

The airport is begging for service. How clean and modern and no usage.

May look like its ready but who knows how broken the internal systems are, like plumbing and electricity.

What a dud.

Anyone know how far along this has gone to actually start operating?

I can see the efficient Germans embarrassed and extremely annoyed because everything that is going on with this airport. It is something that does not cross one's mind when one talks about Germany!

I suspect in every major construction project you would find thousands of problems if you would search for them as thouroughly as it has been done here by now. And probably most of then won't really matter.

The problems that really prevent the airport from getting operatoinal are proabaly just a small fraction of this number.
