We need Andrew to collate our guesses! He is the Official Keeper of the Guesses!

In the meantime, no one can take a guess that someone else has taken already......

5 is still left, so I'm nabbing that. More interesting would be the compo for January 2015. I'm starting that off with 63

Oh my... I'm always wrong on those long term guesses, but I'll guess 28th floor by Jan 01, 2015.

Tis the Summer Doldrums. All of the forums slow down in the summer when the weather is fine! Things pick up in the Autumn.

Plus, I think to a certain extent Torontonians are burning out on development. I remember just a short while back how everyone was thirsting for
a new tower here after a completely dry decade. Everyone went crazy when towers like Spire started to go up. So much has been built and so much
is still in the pipes that I think a lot of people have just turned off from the sensory overload. Some are responding by turning off, others are just unhappy
with anything and everything that is going up. I don't think there has been a building boom like this in living memory.... perhaps post WWII, and there was
a big growth spurt in the '70's when a lot of the CBD towers went up.

UT is an excellent site, with many, many local industry professionals on board. It has a completely different vibe that some like
and others don't, but there is nothing we can do about people joining other sites!

I'm still kicking around, for what that's worth. Personally i'm waiting on news about the Ghery project, 2 Bloor w. 50 Bloor w. and the 1 Yonge st. project. amongst other high profile sites. A 50 story condo doesn't resonate like it used to.
It may be a while before we get any info on these.

How long would you estimate it should take for an 75 storey building with a large footprint and many underground levels to go up?

What's the track record of the constructor the developer choose to do the superstructure? Also the financial aspect is important, do they have the necessary funds to build quick.

I was joking. It's just that this project has been going on for soooo long and yet is now only at ground level.

This is a first class developer and will likely be quite an exciting project. It is a big footprint, so it will take some time to be completed. The underground levels are always the slowest as it all takes so very much time to construct.

The sub-prime fiasco in the US can be blamed for that. That's not a reflection on the developer behind the old proposal or the developer behind the new one.

It would have been nice to see how Bazis would have handled 1 Bloor. They are definitely a developer that isn't afraid to take chances, in terms of design. Exhibit, Emerald Park and E Condos look promising. And then we have 1 Yorkville to look forward to. Crystal Blah was a failure, but I think Bazis is going to redeem themselves and possibly end up being one of the premier developers in the city.

As for 1 Bloor and Great Gulf. I'm sure they'll do a great job!

Bazis do seem to get a lot of undeserved criticism, but I'm thankful that they've arrived on the scene. I'm very much looking forward to those projects you listed above. I agree that they're adding a different aesthetic to the urban landscape and that's a good thing.

Lol, ok tell you what I'll create a new list if everybody wants to try this again. What are we guessing? The floor count by Dec 31st 2014? I'll make it tomorrow. I'm going into my studio to do some software tutorials but i can set aside a bit of time and set it up.

BTW, I forgot who won the Aura contest. I still need to send them their prize.

Thanks Andrew!! You are the best. Let's make it Dec. 31st 2014. I don't have a hope in Hell of winning as I make dreadful guesses, but I enjoy these!
