Hey there so Ive been reading your posts which I find interesting and informative. Anyways I wasnt planning on posting anything, but then ran across this and thought you guys would like it. I know it's not 100% development related, but its still pretty cool.

Hopefully Milwaukee can get a new arena for the Bucks. Just read in the Milwaukee business journal that the bucks were barely able to get an extension for the Bradley Center. Also mentioned in the article was that there are three different cities wanting a NBA team. The NBA is a hot commodity and if Milwaukee loses an NBA team they will never get it back.

Having a NBA team is critical for the future of Milwaukee. Especially considering that Milwaukee is in a cold weather climate. People need things to do in the winter. The Bucks provide a option and give Milwaukee that big city image. The NBA is critical for keeping young people in Milwaukee

I understand that opinion, but it's true that having an NBA franchise is HUGE for a city like Milwaukee. I don't like the symphony or ballet or theater particularly, but I understand they're absolutely necessary to a city's vitality. I think major sports franchises are even more Important.

Plus, I've been a die hard Bucks fan for like 25 years, so much of my love for the city actually is connected with that.

I've heard Columbus might be getting a NBA team in the future...I won't be happy if its the bucks. and if they do end up leaving, watch them pull a ravens, thunder, avs, situation and move and immediately win titles or compete for them after losing for yrs

A large part is the leadership has to change here. Herb Kohl is probably a nice guy but it obviously ain't working.

This traffic light technology seems like a key to making the system work well: http://m.bizjournals.com/milwaukee/b...en.html?r=full

Glad the City opted for it. Maybe once implemented it can be made available to first responders as well.

You mean "without" MSO involvement.

It's cool that the MSO is seriously looking at a new venue. But they should be thinking of a statement building. I just can't get excited about a hall ontop of a parking garage. They are a very fine symphony and should be in a building at least the equal of the Calatrava.

Make no little plans, so I've been told.

I can't read the article as it's in the Subscriber Only section on the Business Journal but 833 East is to start construction in February after they complete the land sale in December. The building will be finished in October 2015. That's all I can read...
