Honolulu Skyline (American's Underrated City)
![]() The entire west side of Honolulu, very dense! ![]() Ala Wai Park ![]() View of the Downtown Honolulu Skyline near the airport. ![]() ![]() Beautiful picture that I recently took. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Drop dead gorgeous picture, wouldn't you agree? ![]() This pano I got from another site, it doesn't show half of Honolulu's massive skyline. Downtown Honolulu, Maikiki, Kaakako, and the Ala Moana districts are still missing in this picture. For a City out of the middle of no where, it has arguably the best city skyline for such an isolated place.

It's a cool city to visit and view its skyline. I liked it when I was there.
Good pictures.

Honolulu look an amazing city! Sorry I have to say... That skyline needs serious improvement because these gray/white skyscrapers are ruining Honolulu's image. I think blue or green glass skyscrapers will help to make Honolulu looks better and more attractive city.

The first thing I noticed was that in the first picture, the skyscrapers seem to rise out of the "non-developed" land...it like mountains, grass, and boom, city.

I'm going to have to disagree I really think Honolulu looks like a city out of South America, though it's much cleaner, and definitely much safer.
Most of Honolulu's density isn't even for the immediate population, which according to the CIA factbook, is only 377 000. More often than not, these buildings serve the tourists who are coming in and leaving every single day. Looks like a fantastic city though; one that definitely gets overlooked because of distance from the Coast.

Only the waikiki section is for tourist (front left side of first photo), the rest are residential buildings and in the far back (downotown honolulu), they're business buildings. The photos that I shown aren't the only high rise buildings in Honolulu, there's much much more. When I went there on December, Honolulu had believe it or not over six buildings in construction to add to the skyline and all the six buildings had at least 20+ floors to them. I really hope Honolulu keeps this booming skyscraper pace up.

We looked at mountains until dawn, and then when dawn came, it was too pretty for me - there was pink and blue and gold, in the sky, and on icy places, brilliant pink and gold flashes, and the snow was colored too, and I said," Oh," and sighed; and each moment was more beautiful than the one before; and I said, " I love you, Momma." Then I fell asleep in her arms. That was happiness then. - Harold Brodkey |
