Incorrect, even though you have got the correct city--- Hsinchu, Taiwan

Actually it was the Mathematics & Computing Department of National Tsinghua University.

National Chiao Tung is still behind of National Tsinghua (and of course, National Taiwan) as far as I know. NCTU is also engineering-oriented, like most Taiwan universities. However it was less impressive when concerning awards in programming contests or qualifications.

NTU is more of an all around university, NCTU and National Tsinghua are what you would call tech schools in America.
funny thing is that there is also a Tsinghua in Beijing, and a Shanghai Jiao Tong (Chiao Tung) in Shanghai, they are THE top tech schools in mainland China, and they share a common history with their Taiwanese counterparts.

programming contest didnt mean anything, you should check the profile of ceos of all the big taiwanese tech companies, or even the silicon valley companies, and see where they graduated from.I also knew about National Tsinghua, but I thought National Chiao Tung has long overtaken Tsinghua as the most prestigeous tech school in Taiwan.
