Hi ,i cannot find the old thread , so that's another with full details

If its height of 318 m is confirmed (unofficial , officials says mini 300m) , that tower would become the highest of Western Europe or EU .

currently status is APPROVED
demolition of the current lowrise is to begin mid 2009

wow, I must say, I REALLY don't care for the look of that building. Especially not for Paris, and especially not for what will be one of the tallest and most visible structures in the city for a long time to come.

I'm still giggling nervously about what you said. But enough of that!

I'm one of those who really didn't like the tower as the sketchy design got revealed nor was I impressed with the broken spikes on top of it.
I somewhat changed my mind as it dawned on me that even though this may not have been the idea being the concept, this is The skyscraper per se - as in visually speaking of the tower, it really does scrapes the sky. I think one either gets it or not but I now do and appreciate the building more and more.

It's a pitty... La Défense is messing up its skyline with awful towers. Tour Phare is weird enough, and now they add this crazy thing...

it looks like an actual solid glass crystal that used to be taller but then got smashed, now in its current state.

This building is really ugly (no offence lol) Is that the cirque du soleil circus tent on top of that mangled structure.

Definately one of the best skyscraper proposals not only for Paris but the whole Europe.
This tower is unique!!!

any new commer is interesting but ..it's only approved ..so if it's not in construction what is it doing here.???

We need much taller buikdings in europe...not just some 300m tall...

how about a 1km tall that would be interesting....

Hmmm the intentions are good and it will be high for paris but the design man.
It looks like it was snapped in two :S

It would make more sense iff it was a twin tower off each being 315 Meters
to make it seem logical to normal people`s eyes. A normal average person on the streets is realy getting questioned by this snapped design.

And you must consider that this is the heighest off Paris so everybody will look at it and make jokes about it.

Typical example off non communication between architect and the avarege street person.

Don't think Paris should build such high towers. The Eiffel Tower should be the tallest monument in the city.

It's the same as in Munich. Tall towers don't go!!

this tower is not in "paris", it's in la défense, 5km far from the eiffel tower, so there's no problem to me!
