Crane count

Don't know what's happened to the original thread??

In the picture there are now 4 red cranes on Liverpool 1, 2 green ones in Hanover St. along with the Pierse crane in Duke St. 2 on the Kings Dock hotels, one on Vermont Tower.

site 6 is the 13 storey block ,designed by architect Glenn Howells and will consist of 3 storey retail and 10 storeys apartments

I live in Staten Court in the East Village, and at the moment I reckon I can see 21 cranes from my window.

I can't tell, Circle 109 blocks my view in that direction. The Radio City Tower only just gets over the top of it!

Righto I'll have a go at this based on what I've seen this morning, any recounts welcome.

Alexander Tower-1
West Tower-1
St. Pauls-2
Liverpool One-9 white cranes, 4 red cranes, 1 blue, 2 green, 16 in total
Pierse-1
Elysian Fields-1
Kings Dock hotels-2
L1-4
Vermont Tower-1

Total=29

Do people think Columbus Quay is too far out of town to be included? if not then this count will also have to include the crane which I think is by Grafton St. not far from Brunswick Station.

There's one up at the Uni, I thinks it's the engineering building.

The one down the bottom of duke street isnt pierse (that is next door).

However, I walked past the Pierse site this morning and noticed a base for a tower crane.

Does that push us over 30 again?

It's currently being used for demolision, but as soon as that's done with I'm sure they'll keep it in place for the rebuild of the engineering building, so I reckon it counts..

You can definitely count that one it's on the Waterfront and the Uni one.

BB, I thought that this site at the bottom end of Duke St. was the Pierse site, this is the rear of the site I'm referring to, taken from the top of the Hanover St. car park.

Tom, that'll do for me!! 30 it is, what about Columbus Quay??

Ah, you could be right Doug. I crossed my own wires. The site next door is an Iliad development. That'll add a tower crane by the end of the week.

31 with colombus quay then,the most we've had was 32 last year.

Busta, I think L1 stays for now as long as there is chance they will spring back to life.
