Most of them are residential buildings and since they only start construction when a certain amount of apartments are sold, they'll not be empty when completed.

I am sorry but this looks like an ugly commieblock!

Hower, the rest is great and a god addition for Rotterdams skyline!

Check this Montevideo construction pic...

On the background you can also see the T-gebouw EUR u/c... one of the blandest looking towers ever, this is the final facade I think

T-gebouw EUR:

Waterstadtoren is nearing completion, very nice tower imo!

Nice view!

Queen of the South is at about 60%

Ernst and Young nearing highest point... about 15 meters to go, nice building method

Witte Keizer finally above ground... it's been under construction for longer than a year already. Ugly brown post-war appartments on the pic...

All pics from dutch forums!

Construction on Coopvaert (105 m.) will start very soon! It'll be build in front of the white building next to the black tower (on the right of the pic), so the street (Blaak) will be even more impressive.

Here is another construction pic of the T-building.... the cranes are taller now.

pic by skyunlimited

And another massive project (though not tall), De Compagnie, retro stuff in modern Rotterdam... there are three cranes invlolved. Some pics from dutch forummers.

Itīs going to look like this... there are two towers going to be build like the big one, both 55 meters tall.

Iīm not sure if this one is already construction but if it isnīt it will soon. It will be build/is being built next to de Compagnie.

the Kop van Zuid area is very well developed but why in gods name are so many red bricks used here ?

I guess its turns out into a red quarter... needs more color this neighbourhood !

A real mixed bag here; Coolsingeltoren, Witte Keizer, and Scheepmakerstoren are particular favorites of mine. Queen of the south.... that's the nickname for a little town in Scotland called Dumfries (and the name of their football team)... I'm affraid I don't approved of the design though. Any hope that those white appartment blocks will be demolished or redeveloped?

Lots of people don't like the three white blocks... though there are no plans to do anything with them (yet). I don't think they're that bad though.

I don't like the impressions of QOTS either but in real life it's very nice and impressive (which I like) in my opinion.

Lots of people like Scheepmakerstoren, which I don't

I like the almost completed Waterstadtoren very much...

Bad news! The Coolsingeltower won't be build until 2005/2006, I've removed it from the list.

But maybe the Punttower (Pink Panther) will start construction this summer already, so that's good news.

I've also added projects for post-2004. Take a look!

Bad news then, the Coolsingeltower is one hell of a great deisgn. Whats' the status of the Corsotower? I quite like this one - very New York.... reminds me of the Carnegie Hall tower.

Corsotower has been approved, it will be build at the same time as the Coolsingeltower I think (the tower in the background on the impression is Coolsingeltower).
By the way, I showed an old impression, the color scheme has been changed, I can't find the new one though... The color has been changed from bright red to a brighter orange color.

Don't expect De Rotterdam this year either... new info says start construction end 2005.

But research shows a lot of companies in Rotterdam need more space. The city always has a strict number of offices/houses they want to build each year. So they might actually build a few big office projects earlier than scheduled. But the Coolsingeltower will be build on the space where a theatre is now, and as the theatre has presales running for projects in november 2004 it won't make space for Coolsingeltower soon...
