Actually, I like it. Good use of light and glass to go with that raw concrete. Inside seems inviting.

It's not even a real fish market. Just an expensive sea food restaurant.

Exactly. It's misleading to label this as a fish market. I thought it would have been great if they could have integrated it with the shrimp boats that sell at the harbor and sell other seafood at a reasonable price. Instead, it's just another overpriced Aker Brygge restaurant.

The cladding of the student housing turned out awful of course and even the office building looks too gray for my liking, but I will say that I do like the shape of the buildings. Especially from an angle where it is possible to see the angled, green roofs (which is surprisingly visible even from the street in my experience).

Is there one single building currently planned/UC that contains curves rather than hard angles?

Some curves on the new station even if the "skate ramp highrise" will be dropped.

D2 and D5 of the Bjørvika plan will be ready for hearing this spring. The plan includes a school for 1st to 10th grade, an indoor sports facility and a waste management facility. On top of the waste management facility there's plans for offices, a change from apartments as the Bjørvika plan states.

A map of the area. Rostockgata's allignment has been change, and runs a bit closer to Kong Haakon 5's street. This makes it possible to make a real beach at Loalmenningen and merge D6 and D7 at a later time.

The school, complete with walkable roof:

Seen from Loalmenningen:

I stumbled over this render from a year and a half ago, showing the most current plan for Middelalderparken after Follobanen is done. Includes different areas/features targeted at showcasing the history of the area.

Are those dark green square boxes new "old town" houses or assumed ruins that will be excavated when follobanen is done? I would assume they being marked brown if they were newly built, like the boathouses at the waterfront.

Yeah, sorry. The map ended up a bit small. They're referred to as "Profane bygningsstrukturer: Opphevet gressflate" in the index. Also the grey lines between them are described as "Profane bygningsstrukturer i plan, Veistrukturer (svart stål)". Apparantly that's how they'll tell the "story" of the burnt down city that only remains as carbon deposits in the ground.
