Maybe add more bus routes? Plus, my place, Bandar Tun Hussein One faces lack of parking as we don't have the multi story parking structure. Many residents from Cheras Mahkota, BTHO and nearby areas use it on a daily basis.
Reduced congestion could have been the effect of MRT itself finishing construction, during which it altered traffic flow in many stretches especially in front of Leisure Mall.

Also, don't you dare call it Cheras Mahkota! it's BMC! We still don't get gazetted by Grand Saga even though it's plain to see traffic is highest on our end of the interchange, anywhere on the highway. To that end, our feeder bus mostly got bogged down there, and I'd recommend just ride your bike through the traffic and park at the station.

I am serious about the reduced congestion, you can see the trains passing by with full capacity. Apologies about my mistake, yes indeed its Bandar Mahkota Cheras. Anyhow, more effort must be done to improve the ridership, and I think it will attract more passengers with the completion of TRX and Merdeka.

Other than that, I seriously think that the lack of Touch N' Go cards usage among families prove to be a factor they don't use the MRT much during the weekends. It seems that they waste a lot of time buying tokens..

I think 'IF' MRT first route is Klang - KL, i'm pretty sure the ridership would be full and federal highway would be empty.

I'd call it a brief respite though. In a few months the SUKE highway elevated span and interchange construction will be in full swing and we're back at the infamous traffic jam near the plaza phoenix/cheras sentral again. I live here for 30+ years (when there was no highway and jalan cheras from KL to kajang was just an each way 2 lanes federal road) and there has never been a period where that stretch and nearby area of Jalan Cheras is construction free

And of course, after that, you'll have traffic from Kesas and PLUS highway feeding directly into Jalan Cheras.

I take it you do not ride during the weekday rush hours?

Because I did so last Thursday, and it was anything but empty.

WOW THANKS FOR THE CAPS LOCK AND EVERYBODY CAN DO SAME ACCUSATION AS YOU, CAN YOU GIVE US THE DETAILS FOR FURTHER REINFORCE YOUR STATEMENT.

I Guess this picture a green elephant to yours.
Taken 16 September Saturday 4:21PM // From Semantan Toward Muzium Negara.
Taken 22 September Friday 5:42PM // From Bukit Bintang Toward Pasar Seni
Taken 24 September Sunday 13:21PM Maluri .... Is this ghost ?
Bottom Line is, things doesnt fill up overnight.
You want everyday, all the time, jam packed like LRT Kelana Jaya on Peak Hours ?
Then again I don't deny certain time, certain stretch to.... almost nobody on board the MRT.

Ah yes.. the what I call a "thread through the needle hole" construction of SUKE, needle hole being the gap under the MRT viaducts. I kinda lamented the degazetting of the silver of forested area between MPKj and MPAJ to make way for that highway. Hopefully GS's 4-lane carriageways proves to be enough foresight to cope with the increased traffic once SUKE is completed.

Encik/cik/puan sohaii should lay down measures to further increase the ridership, instead of SOUNDING LIKE HE/SHE IS LIVID AND STOP BEING RACIST TOO TO THE BANGLADESHIS WHO POSSIBLY CONTRIBUTE ALOT TO OUR ECONOMY THROUGH THEIR HARD LABOUR. or would you rather the foreigners here drive cars too making our roads even more congested?

Rilex... Even our first lrt after completion the riderships are low, but increase after years. Masa ni lah naik mrt boleh selfie2, baring2 (just mention only) mcm big boss and enjoy the ride, after 2-3 years from now, will be hard to have the same experience... So enjoy selagi belum sesak. We need time, some people are not familiar, and have non experience with rapid rail/metro rail, and some of them will try for the first time during weekend, if they feel satisfied and hv good experience, i believe the numbers will be increased during weekdays.

Empty? Try taking it during morning or evening peak. It's anything but empty.

MRT feeder buses have the same problems afflicting buses in general in the Klang Valley. The main one of course being that they have to run in mixed traffic and the jam can really muck up the schedule. Not to mention the fact that we still have a far too small bus fleet and the auto-centric development of the region.

I don't see how Bengali people are related but OK. Or maybe you're just a weird xenophobe idk

People like that are so useless. Only know how to complain. Do they have any actual ideas? Do they have any solutions or suggestions? Of course not. They just ineffectually whine whenever anything happens. We need good public transport. That is a fact.

If anything I think we need more MRT lines. More light rail to the suburbs. More frequent bus routes. Development of KTM Komuter to metro standards. 2 minute headways on the monorail. 90 second headways on the LRT Kelana Jaya Line. New development must be verified that it has a minimum amount of access to rapid transit or to a frequent bus line. That is what must be done!

That person's username is really a suitable one.

naik mrt dari kota damansara ke pasar seni....selesa..luas.

bila interchange dgn LRT nak gi KLCC.. rasa claustrophobia terus....mcm naik bas mini..berhimpit dalam tin sardin.

patut kita buat MRT dulu bukan LRT.

dulu takde duit bro.

remember we almost bankrupt ourselves doing too many mega projects at the same time like KLCC, KLIA, lrt 1 / 2, ERL, kl sentral, sukan kommenwell, ktm komuter, sepang circuit, putrajaya plus the financial crisis and somebody decided to go against the iron-fist dictator at the time??
