I'm guessing the speed at which this leases up will determine how soon we see some more of these.
I'm sure there will be wording in the lease regarding this, but how lucrative would be be to have a unit just for airbnb or something along those lines?!

Thought the same thing when I walked by there tonight. And the former Walgreens building next door to Panera appears to have the perfect foot print for a new Apple Store!

So I miss having 3D models of these (mbp seems to have moved on) and I'm learning to do SketchUp Maker, so I guess I'll be a partial adopter in that role. I meant to finish understanding how to make these a while back and didn't get back to it until now. I got pretty decent in 1 evening I'd say though! Sorry the map does not include the recent development in the area, as in 4marq and Xcel Energy HQ; nor is the building exterior representative of the actual...wish I had more time

@anjunabeats91 If you (or mbp if still around) build a model and publish to be 3dwarehouse/sketchup, I'll throw you some coin for your work.

Nick on the Committee of the Whole said so. How can a project die in one week?

Committee of the Whole

The Memo for this project.

Was there something at today's meeting that said at the last minute?

14,400 sq. ft. area/foot print....just what we've been waiting for! The FAR is 18.2 and allowable is 19.2.... looks like this could go another 4-5 floors if needed. I hope this thing gets built as it is and would be a nice addition to the area!

This is so weird to me, quite a roller-coaster of emotions.

Does any one have insight as if this is common?
What would be the purpose of releasing this info and then not have a viable plan?

I am usually a doubter of any projects until construction is taking place, but this one sucked me in immediately.

I am afraid that Bob will have to come back to reality. Yes, at the start of today’s meeting it was announced the project would not move forward. But who knows what 3 or 6 months will bring.

Did they give a reason? Seems like they spent a lot of money in planning to cut it off now. Do they own the property currently?

Hahaha! This was announced a week ago and it's already dead? What an embarrassment. This is some Alex Duval-level b.s. I really hope the Minneapolis amateur hour ends soon. In the meantime, stay away from anything associated with Curt Gunsbury and Robb Miller.

It would be nice to know what happened.
I guess I'm confused by the comments. Was this pulled by the developer or did something happen with the planning committee?
