Shows The Pacific Site , The Eleven Towers and the Cayman Towers under Construction .......Camping ground is very Empty ? Strange , theres no development coming up there is ? Thanks for the effort

No other development that I know of, there is a site begging for development next to Cayman - part permanent caravan park like trailer park boys (very out of place!) and part run down apartment block. The fact it is a bit run down and underdeveloped makes me think a developer is holding on to it for bigger plans, otherwise they would have put some average two to three story apartment block on it to get some returns. It just looks out of place amongst the other nice places around it.

And yeah camping ground is rather empty, just a few hot tourists that I walked past, but will be booked out all summer as usual.

One of these developers , either The Pacific or The Eleven are advertising that their Block will be the last of its size ....I think thats alot of Crap and I certainly hope not .......shall soon see

These people are so small minded, "the last of its size" if we are to believe that then the human race is about to stop developing and basically die.

Anyway that gets me worked up so I'll put it behind me and tell some useless but interesting fact: If the Elliot St Apartment block @218m (f*#K Yeah) was built next to Mt Maunganui @230ish m they would be very similar in size!

Actually Im glad that there are Height Restrictions at the Mount , would hate to see the Beach Shaded for half the Day like Surfers

Yeah I do agree theres got to be a limit and would hate to see a building similar in height to the mount right next to it, but surely we can get to about 50m in the next 15 or so years? Even if its a street back from the beach to stop the shading.

Instead of these pissy 5 - 8 Levels back from the Beach , they should be 15 - 20 Levels .....and imagine the view .......you would probaly see Tauranga ..across the Harbour...right down to the Mount ..and all the way round to Whakatane ....well maybe not ....I'm getting dizzy

The only thing I worry about is Mt / Papamoa out-doing Tauranga, because Tga is the main centre and should have the largest and most buildings, IMO.

For some Reason TGAs CBD has lacked development over the Years ....only a couple of Apartment Blocks .....geez some Cities half the size have more impressive Skylines eg Palmerston North ........Although the TCC carry on as if they are a Supa City and they can demand what they want from Developers , a great example is the Novotel Fiasco .... It wouldn't surprise me to hear they have the TCC to bugger off and they are ganna build it in Whakatane Its just dragging on .......lets be and hope it starts soon ....and soon after Strand City

Been around a few times, up only once but I'm trying to do a bit more exercise so hopefully be heading up a bit more often. Its such a great asset to the area, its like Tauranga's Hagley Park. You been up / around a few times?

Used to go up there for Teddy Bear Picnic's Also it was the real Family thing to do
