Follow the link of the source in my photo post above. This will bring you to the gallery page and you can see all of the photos of the photographer. When you click on an image, there will be an option on the lower right hand side to "View Other Sizes".

That's the thing I don't get. I try to shoot HK at night using an old-school EOS 350D. I used a 1600 ISO to take the shot but I get grainy pics. Its probably because I do a bit of colour changes plus I save my jpg images in high quality (not max).

Here are some sample that I took

ISO1600 will usually result in grainy pictures, in my experience (generally, the higher the ISO value, the grainier the picture).
I too have a Canon EOS 350D, and the night shots I took when I was in Hong Kong last year also ended up being rather grainy (here are a few examples I put online: http://photography.piranha-info.com/...ay=6&start=121).
At that time (unfortunately!) I had no tripod or solid underground to put my camera down, so I had to take them the normal way (holding the camera), forcing me to use a high ISO value and a short exposure time.

So what you would need is a steady underground (or better still a tripod), and a quiet place with a good view - that should be enough to use a low ISO value in combination with a long exposure time (ie. crisp pictures with a minimum amount of graininess). Shooting in high quality jpg or RAW would also help.

Oh, almost forgot: those are some pretty darn amazing pictures - makes me look at my own pictures in shame...

The pictures on the top are off the hook or in better term, high-quality. I'm here in LA right now flying to NY next week. I would like to take shots of Manhattan especially from The Top of The Rock. Unfortunately, I forgot my tripod

One place for good Manhattan skyline picture is probably on the other side of Hudson River in Jersey.... Jersey City, Liberty State Park, anywhere along the river is good.

i have a tripod but again I left it in HK

I'll try a lower ISO when I take night shots)
