I think the proposal came back to the plans panel after considerable reworking, including the replacement of the red sandstone with Portland stone. Whatever the changes look like they've obviously done the trick, since the application was approved last week. I notice, though, that the developers have to submit examples of the Portland stone cladding to the planning authority for approval. This development, although relatively small, should help complete this end of the Millennium Square.

The revised scheme looks a lot, lot better - and this might actually be really good now. It's amazing what a simple change of material can do!
