The problem with all of these new stock exchanges is that a design like this is more or less required these days, because the companies want to have HUGE trading floors, which are too large even for large skyscrapers. So they need to 'extend' 4 or 5 floors. Just look at the proposal for the new JPMorgan Chase Tower in Downtown Manhattan, which can be seen on the right side of the rendering below. It's exactly the same problem.

it's rem koolhaas anyway.

i think the building may look okay in the end - depending on how they detail it. but im really not sure about the gridded approach for the facade of the tower - it'll look really dated however inventive they are with detailing and the materials.
