[Slovakia & Hungaria] Contributions for friendly relations development

Guys, I think it is a rather pointless debate over who was Hungarian and who was Slovak. It must be noted that it is not us who can judge this. One is Hungarian or Slovak (or some other nationalites) when he or she considers him/herself Hungarian or Slovak for that matter. We simply can't judge, it is a personal decision!

I have to agree with Peti. There are many examples where for us it is obvious that the person is Hungarian, yet an other nation consider it as their "own". Perfect example would be Teller Ede (Edward Teller): "Hungarian-born American theoretical physicist". We have to respect these people, no matter what nationalities they had during their lifes.

Btw, have you heard that Jesus was Hungarian?

Okay, guys. I did not want to start a flame here and I see that it did not happen anyway, this is why I am glad and I appreciate very cultivated discussion from all of you.

I just convinced myself that many of the famous people born in present Slovakia that are in every Slovak textbook mentioned as Slovak, in all Hungarian textbooks are mentioned as Hungarians or Magyars. I would never wonder about Jedlík being Hungarian if I read it before and learned it at school. But now, the people in Slovakia and Hungary and probably in all over the rest of the world are not clear about things like this, cause our textbooks does not contain the same data about the nationalities of some people.

Also, I always heard and learned his Slovak name only (Štefan Anián Jedlík (btw, Jedlík is typical Slovak name, imo (like Petzval) ) ), this is why I never expected he had also some Hungarian name

Anyway, it is good the both Slovakia and Hungary had a lot of great scientists and artists.

The think what we should have is a textbook like what german and french schools have...they made one together,which presents a middle way between both side's views.

She doesnt watch tv becuase she is a god-fearing person,and through the tv-screen comes the evil,and tries to make us commit sins.
She sometimes listens to the news on the radio,but thats all. She advises all to avoid doing so(watching tv),because we're in the final times,

Thank you very much for exhaustive translation. Well, I don't if I have to laugh or cry. Does she really believe in what she said? But, luck I live in Carpatian basin as well. It reminds me a bit of "Vesmírní lidé" - "Space people" from Czech republic but they are active also in Slovakia. Recently I've heard all people have some chips and they are commanded by somebody (I don't know who).
