Good to see another namma kudla guy registered on the site. We have some very dedicated people here who are active in other Kerala sites but contributing a lot to this site like Sanju,Scorpio just to name a few. BTW Kiran if you are good at photography then we need you badly because you could ask some friendsin mangalore to take pictures. This site is devoid of many pictures. Unfortunately in Mangalore because of opposition to high rise buildings by the Citizens forum many builders are refusing to put pictures.

Hot new investment destinations!

http://www.moneycontrol.com/india/ne...s/04/17/324927

Mangalore has already begun to witness the spill over demand from large IT companies in Bangalore. While Infosys has established its presence here, the company is setting up a 300-acre campus facility in the IT SEZ coming up on the outskirts in Konaje. Satyam and Wipro too have been allotted 200 acres in the export promotion park coming up in Ganjimutt.

Moreover, the proposed coastal Special Economic Zone where ONGC will invest $ 250 billion (Rs 9,856,249,809,275) has added to the real estate interest in Mangalore.

So, Bangalore-based developers like Nitesh Estates and Puravankara have recently acquired over 40 acres for IT park developments and townships. Residential complexes too are springing up on the outskirts and close to Bajpe where the new international airport is proposed.

Prices in apartment complexes on the airport road such as Blueberry Hills and Landlinks range between Rs 2,500-2,900 per square feet and are likely to rise further with the completion of the airport and IT SEZs. Mangalore also has six malls under construction, including a forum mall by Bangalore-based Prestige Group on MG Road. There seems to be an oversupply of retail space at the moment, but this may not last long.

Hello Kiran, welcome to SSC

Just browse through the main forums we have here in SSC, like Mumbai, Bangalore, Calicut or Trivandrum and you could see what kind of pictures we need here. Any pictures of urbanscapes are most welcome...like roads, buildings, arial photography, new apartment construction pictures or whatever which relates to a city. Just go through different city sites and you will get a clear idea.

This thread badly needs some pictures. If your friends could join here and get a few snaps it would be wonderful for Mangalore! You will find out how to post pictures here if you browse earlier pages.

Mangalore Going Great.....It has great potential to be on top in a decade. It will be Mumbai of Karnataka...considering
its close proximity with Mumbai....
It will be the financial nerve centre along with Bangalore in Karnataka and india.
