Civic Centre of Delhi
Some figures in respect of heights of the tallest structures of Delhi are not correct. For instance, the height of Vikas Minar is not 54 metres at all. (You can't make a 23-floor high building of 54 metres only!) Similary, the height of Kutub minar is also incorrect. The Vikas Minar should be more than 70 metres tall and the height of Kutub Minar is 78 metres.

Good work Zhiemi - Civic Centre really does look a lot like Toronto's Nathan Philips Square U/C, but finished it will look different

Great pictures! thanks a lot Zhiemi. Hope Delhi crosses the 30-floor mark at the shortest time and keep pace with other big brothers, Mumbai & Kolkata in respect of skyscrapers & highrises.

There are tons of 20fl+ towers and many more U/C, four 30fl+ towers U/C with 2 being 45fl tall. Just incase you haven't seen, checkout the Unitech Grande project coming up in Noida.

On the other hand, Delhi has still now, many villages on its fold. When Delhi was made capital of India, a large rural area and vast arid land was kept aside for its growth. It had 1450(apprx) square km as its area but the actual urbanised area was not more 400 sq km. Delhi had about 300 villages. Punajbi Bagh which was earlier called as General store, (now a centrally located area) was out of Delhi. Madipur, Shadipur, Rampura Naraina etc. still bear the name of gaon. The outskirts like Jagatpur, Rohini, Rithala, Nangloi, Mangolpuri, Najafgarh, Saiyadgaon, Pappankalan(Dwarka), Madangir, Saket, Mehrauli,Chhatarpur, Badarpur etc. etc. all were distant villages 30-35 years back. But you can not say that about Kolkata. There were no villages around Kolkata except few pockets in the south. So there was no place to grow. I am aware about the Unitech Grande which is coming up on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. When completed it will surpass the uniworld city (in new town kolkata) by its sheer and mammoth size. I am also attached to and love Delhi. So I will be also happy to see skyscrapers dotting on the Delhi metro area which is nowadays called NCR
