Railways
Hi Guys! Since I'm quite a railway fan, - and I know there are plenty of us here on SSC - I would like to see and read more of the Romanian railway system. In the future please feel free to post valuable infos, photos, news, and anything concerning the railway infrastructure transportation of Romania!
In the name of friendship: A Hungarian and a Romanian train meeting somewhere in Romania! ![]() This is the Hungarian one: ![]() Beautiful isnt she...? I just love trains...

Nice...hope they are not on the same track...
![]() As far as I know, there isn't much investment in the railway system at the moment...They've been trying for years to finish a Bucharest-Brasov high-speed track, but I'm not sure what the current status is. |

Let me share with You guys, some very rare and interesting photos of the Hungarian nostalgia train carrying pilgrims to Şumuleu Ciuc/Csíksomlyó!
Credit to RawLee! Special thanks for the symbolic gesture to the Romanian government for letting it happen! Last edited by Qtya; May 14th, 2008 at 02:09 AM. |

![]() BTW, everybody knows that the locomotive was bearing the Greater Hungary sign but nobody really cared. It's something normal (and even very good for Romania) that the largest Catholic gathering happens on a yearly basis in a Romania. It's beautiful stuff and both Romanians and Hungarians and other people can celebrate. Romania is nothing special than a normal country. Last edited by Le Clerk; May 14th, 2008 at 07:10 AM. |

The train - as you can see - is carrying the present day Hungarian bearing on the nose, where the red star used to be...
Check the actual Hungarian bearing on Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:C...of_Hungary.svg What does everyone know Le Clerk? No one was insulting Romania... Why are you so paranoid? |
