Ivanski you keep browsing the airgroup2000 forum don't you
. Mi-14 is really a grate piece of machinery, such a pity that the new Panthers wont match his capabilities

Yep
, as for the Panthers they should operate on the new multi-role corvettes that should be build here (somewhere in time ). But the deal with the Frenchie is pretty much frozen and can hardly become a reality in the near 5 years due to the lack of funds, or to be more exact lack of thinking politicians here. So we will enjoy the Hazes for some more time anyway

I also visit the airgroup2000 forum regulary since im intrested in everything about aviation. My point is that the guys there have hopes about those corvettes being constructed somewhere in the near future (and i think information posted there can be trusted), so who knows...

She is
but AFAK the situation here is one major project or another - to be specific the multi-role fighters or the corvettes in the next few years, and from what I've heard the fighters should be priority as a modernization level at least in the next 3-4 years. Anyway the military budget is very tight for 08 and 09, let's hope the serious stuff will start in 2010.

I am glad that the army is being modernized. I still remember the old Soviet piece of crap that we used to and still have. Professional army is the way to go......

Unfortunately not
. But Armaris is the winner of the contract for building 4 multy purpose corvettes, so we hope those scale models turn into real vessel as soon as possible. And as Ivanski wrote: Quote:

Since when "МВР" stands for Armed forces
![]() edit: the new MD said yesterday at Graf Ignatievo that there is a possibility our AF to get some f16's for free in order to purchase in the near future the ultra-modern F35s which will be great, it sounds too good to be true.

What's MBP? Bulgarian Police Special Response Unit? In Romania we have SPIR in Bucharest and DPIR at county level.
Edit: ok, I see their the Gendarmerie. What are your police special forces then? |

МВР (MVR) Stands for Ministry of internal affairs.
HСБОП (NSBOP) -the other signature is for an anti organized crime unit, the other most famous special police units are the Gendarmerie, ДОТИ (DOTI) - operative technical information , СОБТ (SOBT) - anti terrorist squad, etc. You can see pics in the police thread
