From the render/model, it looks like there will be a roof structure covering all the tracks and platforms. Where is it now?

May I add this..
proposed plans for the mass transit
a little old, but it gives a clear view of what the lines will look like.
(it does not include the BRT line)

Some of the line may change, extended or new lines may be added.

thaitransit on SSC has many photos of Bangkok's BTS/MRT, SRT, Bus and Boat transport on his blog:
http://thaitransit.blogspot.com/

When he's not busy trying to annoy people in the OzScrapers forum, he may volunteer more information.

I remember seeing photos several years ago of a Skytrain viaduct built across the river. The viaduct structure had been completed but no tracks could be placed on it due to a dispute between the local and national governments. What is the present status of that section of the line?

what are they planning to do to the station at Saphan Taksin (Taksin Bridge)?

As you can see from the photo, it seems that the space around the station is too narrow to have 2 tracks and 2 platforms.

Cheers, m

There is and has been no mystery. Saphan Taksin station will work as a one platform station with trains timed appropiately. No big deal....

The delaying in opening an ext originally scheduled to begin operations in late 2004 is however a very big problem!
