Hull City have announced the signing of French international full back Bernard Mendy.
Alongside Brazillian international Geovanni and Dutch international George Boateng arriving at the club, as well as (fingers crossed) United genius starlet Frazer Campbell on another season loan. Some mighty canny signings there to give us a decent punt at sticking around.

I really do hope Hull become a long term-addition to the Premiership, they have a pretty decent stadium, some passionate fans and are in a fairly large city, everything you could wish for.
There are too many crappy clubs clogging up the league, located in the middle of nowhere thet refuse to get relegated and never fill their stadiums, the lieks of Bolton, Middlesboro, Wigan, and to a lesser extent Blackburn. To make it a better league both in terms of attendance, class, and competition, I'd like to see some of the original old boys of the Prem back in there, i.e Nots Forrest, Leeds, Sheff Wednesday.

What are people thinking about Fowler signing for Blackburn? Think he shafted us at Cardiff, twat. Oh well, signed Marcus Bent for £1m, just hope he can score a few goals for us.

Looks like we might have got Berbatov. Theres a story about saying a £28 Million fee has been agreed, I'll wait to see if anything comes of it.

he's a good player. Keane's good as well, I would certainly take him over Barry.. let's hope rafa's budget is a bit compromised and he has to choose!

I'll take Keane in the blink of an eye, not arsed about Barry. Juve getting cold feet/running out of piggy bank liras is a good thing in my opinion, Xabi Alonso is a proper footballer with way more to his game than Barry. I'm not sure chosing will help - Rafa will go for the safe option...
Berbatov is superb when he's arsed, an old school Tottenham player! No doubt the standards expected by ferguson and Man United will demand he performs week in week out for 90 minutes with none of this sulking and waving the arms about. If he does he'll be right up there with some of the best attacking footballers around and Ferguson and United have form for maximising this type of footballers ability.

if alonso's not going (which we'd been led to believe was pretty much inevitable in the last month or so) then yep, i agree - no need for barry.
we'll take keane. i'd still like a nippy little quick flashboy midfielder though. liverpool - lennon. there's a cheap, lazy headline to be had there. |

It'll be very interesting if Liverpool keep Alonso and drop any thoughts of signing Barry. He's burned any bridges he had at AV, so I wonder where he will go instead?

If Liverpool really want Barry then the situation's in place to make it happen for a relatively modest fee. O'Neill's backed himself in to a corner and all the cards should be in Rick Parrys hands...oh wait there's something wrong there...Parry won't grasp how vulnerable Villa and O'Neill have become on the issue will now offer £20 million plus Kuyt, Alonso and Pennant.
Liverpool's approach over Barry has been underhand and shoddy to say the least. Villa's response has been petty and amateur. Football - the peoples game.

Theres also speculation over Pennant, I rate this guy, give him game time & he can win you matches. Kuyt does well on the wing, but if you playing a low league side & want to give them a drubbing, put him on the wing to cause some shit & Im sure he'll deliver.

I'm not sure about Pennent. Sure, he is very talented, but he has 'dickhead' hard wired into his brain.. a bit like Kewel has 'beach bum' hardwired into his.... sad waste of talents both of them are!
This is the main reason I don't like Ronaldo.. twat, childish brat, petulent litle turd, big ed...er, etc! |

Man city are going to be the joke team of the premie league if they sign Ronaldiho for £25.5m and then give him £200.0000 week wages.

Nemeth is still here Clarky you're right. Keep him away from Leeds Rafa...he's missing the first few friendlies due to playing in the under 19's waste of time cup.

Voronin needs to be sold he is not needed anymore. Keane will be great for atleast 2 years but should be fazed out by Nemeth. Torres and Nemeth will be the deadliest strke partnership in premier league history beleive me. Last edited by clarky; July 15th, 2008 at 11:00 PM. |

It will make Alonso a better player if he stays he knows he will have to work harder than last season. |
