Great photo tour! The Fountain View Condos at Southside look really good! Love the sidewalks and fountains-- very very classy touch.
Downtown Greensboro is really looking great these days

VERY neat photos!!! DT GSO looks great, but you could have expanded a little more
The historic buildings along Elm Str certainly deserve more attention... You probably have more images for us. Thanks for sharing these great photos.

You will love the historic preservation along Elm Street, which cityboi hasn't shown here
He promised more photos, so let's see if he will deliver

this place looks beatiful....empty of population, everything in the correct place, and any graffiti or things like that...in mexico city we have that problem...theres very good inversions on public places, but 1 month later everything is covered by graffiti

There was alot of outcry from stadium opponents because this building was one of the few examples of streamline art deco. There was a referendum in 2003 that was petitioned by stadium opponents. You had to vote to ban or not ban stadiums in the central business district. The goal of opponents was to force a renovation of the old stadium which was built in 1926. Of course opponents lost their battle by a big margin. ![]() ![]() The old stadium that stadium opponents wanted to renovate (War Memorial Stadium) it is located on the outskirts of downtown in the historic Charles B Aycock Neighborhood. Two movies have been filmed here (Bull Durham & Leatherheads) It was actually designed to be a football stadium ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I remember seeing many of these - or similar - photos prior to and after the groundbreaking of the ballpark. I can't help thinking that a few high-rises to the North and around the stadium would be nice
