RE: tickets i dont have an idea. didnt ask sir ben bout it.. i jas asked him for the sched, which he promptly replied a few days back.

FYI, halos sabay nag release sched ang dinagyang and sinulog. while bacolod, na october na ang masskara till now wala pa ding official sched and music.

official music will be released thursday this week, Brgy Villamonte and Brgy 23 will start the final practice on Monday...this wil be a good fight...

I still have no word whether they will have to do this again this year and specifically where or when. The Parade of Festivals has been a part of the Department of Tourism Region 6's Western Visayas Tourism Assembly.

The first was held in Iloilo City, the second one was in Bacolod City last year.

Buglasan 2005 National Pyrotechnic Competition lasted for more than 4 hours

The Buglasan Festival 2008 will be held from October 16 - 26 2008 with activities all over the City of Gentle people with Parades through the City, Fireworks at the Rizal Boulevard and Boatracing in Siaton. The evening events are mainly around the Sidlakang Negros Village.

Buglasan 2008 kicks of on October 16th with the Buglasan Farm Family Congress at the Provincial Agriculture Office.

I'm really excited on this year's Buglasan Festival because it will have a new venue specially created for the Buglasan Festival (The Sidlakang Negros Village) and it will have a new line-up of events. The highlighted events are something that everyone is looking forward to. Two days of pyrotechnics competition for this year plus a bonus pyrotechnics exhibition by the chinese community!! Now how's that?? Very exciting!

last year it was held in december and was renamed Buglas Festival. I wonder what made them think to return it to october and return to its original festival name...

Masskara 2008 draws 33 contingents

The Masskara 2008 celebration has attracted 33 groups to sign up for this year’s street dance competition.

This information was relayed by a staff from the Masskara Organizing Committee. According to them, 11 contingents will be performing for the School Category slated October 16. The remaining 22 groups will fight it out on October 17 during the Barangay Category.

The top three winners in the schools category and the top 10 dance groups from the Barangay Category will perform for the ultimate showdown during the October 18 Masskara Festival 2008 Open Category.

According to sources, several nearby towns in Negros Occidental are interested to join the open category contest. Sources also mentioned one Visayan city and one Luzon province is also interested to join the Masskara Festival 2008 Open Category Street Dance Contest. However, no confirmation has been received yet.

Lambada Medley was used in 1991 not 1990. I can clearly remember this kasi i joined the masskara at that time. it was lambada, volare, Dacando Lambada, La Casa Latina medley.

Aw ....ok, I stand corrected. We danced the Masskara Lambada medley last April 1992 at the 12th Asia-Pacific Boy Scouts Jamboree representing the Philippines.
