Had been to Mumbai on a short visit of four days on work. Landed in Mumbai on 28th August '08 (Thursday) morning from Bangalore along with a business associate. Got in to an Innova and from then started the busy schedule of meetings at different points/business parks in the city. I visited Goregaon, Andheri, Bandra, Bandra Kurla Complex, Andheri-Kurla Road, Powai etc on that day. It was 10 PM when I finally checked in to Grand Hometel at Malad West, near Raheja Mindspace. Got a shower by 11 PM and then a friend came to took us in his car to a night club nearby. The whole place was lively with booze and music till about 1.30 PM. So it was a rather hectic day, but ended with cooling my heels. And yes, got to know about the night life of Mumbai.

Second day also the same schedule followed with lots of visits/meetings. Went to Saki Naka, Marol, Kurla, Mahalakshmi, Race Course, Bandra, Band stand, Veer Savarkar Marg, Lower Parel, Vile Parle etc. ET- Business Spaces-India Expo and Conference was happening at Bombay Exhibition Centre. Visited Inorbit Mall also.

Next two days (Saturday and Sunday) was busy with the Expo and Conference. Visited Oberoi Mall at Goregaon on Saturday and again Inorbit on Sunday. Flew back to Bangalore on Sunday 9 PM, reached home by 12 midnight.

The photos were all taken at random with my mobile, as I moved from one place to another. Most shots are from a moving vehicle, so please excuse the clarity.

So here I start my trip. The first King Fisher flight of the day to Mumbai, IT 102 is about to take to the skies.

I got only the middle seat, so was not able to capture Mumbai from the sky

@arijeet, I feel that these office spaces could be better called Business Parks, rather than Tech Parks, esp Peninsular Business Park.

@ 2 paise, only Malad is a suburb, lower parel is proper mumbai..isn't covboy?

Yes monyam, I tried to move away from the sterotypes and tried to view Mumbai in a different perspective..

I shot this prior to a meeting from inside a conference room. Unfortunately the glass was tinted and I was able to capture in this form only.

Oberoi Commerz, (32 floors), Goregaon East

This building has stark similarity with 'Brigade North Star', Bangalore which is also a 2B+G+30 building which is under construction. Both were designed by HOK, while Oberoi Commerz has both sides convex, Northstar has one side concave. Only difference is that Commerz is slim with a floor plate of around 25000 sft, while that of Northstar is 35000 sft.

Yeah its Atlantis alright as I cant see it being anything else from its location.

The picture you taken is the rear of the building since the front has a distinct design so great shots again.

Its made good progress i think after no updates for a while on Atlantis & many other towers.

Thanks Cov Boy, I will trouble you in between...BTW I had taken the shots of Oberoi Commerz from inside of a tinted Innova moving over 60 kph, sitting in the back captain seat, leaning to the front windscreen to click. Happy to see that it has come ok.. Sometimes I think of using a high end camera rather than my mobile, but given the nature of occasions I shoot, this small mobile becomes very handy and maneovarable at different directions, that too fast.
