Because there would be an 'accident' which would destroy most of their warheads and if that failed the nukes would simply be shot down.
I dont get why people worry so much.Nobody would risk a nuclear war because there would be no winners and nobody would achieve a thing but lose everything.

Not really, if you intercept them then you can win the war, but thats rather like tossing a coin and saying it would land on heads, the best way to win a nuke war is to get so close to the target that their isn't any time for them to react.
I think not taking out North Korea but just it's government would be the best option, or course that would mean many assinations, not jut the leader, and resistance from the supporters of them aswell. North Korea is a bigger threat then what Iraq ever was or ever could of been, North Korea is more of a threat then most countries, infact as far as countries being a threat to us (not terroist cells that operate in countries) then I would say it's the biggest. North Korea has nothing, unlike Russia, so their for it has nothing to lose, they do not care about it's people, they do not care about loss of life, if they won a war with us and only had one person left, then they would be happy, thats all they care about. Because one day we will get the message across their about freedom, and they do not want their people to know about it. They kill people who cross the border into South Korea, they kill their familes and friends even if they knew nothing about them going over the border, they strike fear into everyone who lives there. I remember a couple of years ago, watching a documentary about Americans and British people who went there to film what life is really like, but took with them dr's to help people with catarax as a cover (due to the poor health care they get). They were only allowed in to do the job, then get out, they had to have police follow their every move, 99% of the coverage was done secretly, the only thing that they were allowed to film was the operations. In all they did about 100 operations, and at the end ever single one of the patents went over to a picture of the leader and thanked him for giving them their sight back. They claimed that it was all down to him for letting them come here, not one of them thanked the British or Americans. This is the sort of fear that thay put to their people, fear so bad that everyone from outside is bad, even if they help them, fear so bad that they can only believe in their leader. Say what you want about North Korea, but they sure as hell know how to get a stadium full of people to hold their placards to nanometer perfection.
Here's one of our lame attempts ![]() ![]() Come on people, you're letting the side down. |

That is true when dealing with reasonable, sane, stable governments which are scared of mutually assured destruction (the US, the UK, France, China, Russia, India) but is not necessarily the case of other states (N Korea, Iran, Israel, Pakistan). That is why nuclear proliferation is a worrying prospect - countries which are "not sound" and have nuclear capabilities are a risk to regional and global security.

Doing it because they want to
![]() Doing it because there is an armed guard with a gun to their head telling them to. And Im glad to see they bought Soviet Russia's Old images. ![]() North Korea is kind of Sad when you really look at them. The Media over hypes them. Also every image out of North Korea looks like they are stuck in the 70's. |

And Japan.
Let us also not forget how militarized East Asia is - ALL the world's largest (and in many cases, most advanced) armed forces are based in that area: the US (based in S Korea, Taiwan, Japan, various locations in the Pacific), China, N Korea (which has a HUGE army), S Korea (also has a large - and well equipped - armed forces), Japan (very well equipped armed forces), Taiwan (again, despite its size, has powerful armed forces), India, Pakistan, Russia... if a war ever kicks off in that part of the world it will be a whopper of a war!! North Korea alone borders two Great Powers (Russia and China) and has a third (the US) camped in South Korea. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...f_armed_forces Numbers 1 to 7 are involved! (And numerous, including Thailand, Burma, Indonesia and Vietnam, in the top 20.) It could be of World War proportions, depending on how many powers end up "playing"...

Europe would just look on thinking "for once its not this continent getting buggered by war!"
Britain would probably send a couple of ships and subs to assist the Americans and would probably have to bolster troop numbers in Afghanistan too. But other than that I doubt we'd get involved in a Pacific/East Asian war... Australia might though (though the Australian Army is the same size as one of hundreds of divisions of the Chinese Army for instance).
