A scoping opinion went in for the Market tower site in Vauxhall last September.
Scoping opinion for mixed-use development of approximately 3615 square metres of retail/restaurant (A1 and/or A3) floorspace approximately 27550 square of ofice (B1) floorspace, and approximately 772 residential units within four buildings (10, 12, 42 and 47 storeys high) with associated parking and servicing.
Whether this progresses to a full application remains to be seen as the company is Pacific Group which is owned by Achilleas Kallakis’s who isn't having the best time at the moment and the site has since been sold to Green Property.
Still it confirms that the Battersa/Nine Elms/Vauxhall development area is an area to watch over the next few years.

This has been approved by Wandsworth Council and Boris Johnson. Secretary of State Eric Pickles has decided that the scheme will not be called in for public inquiry despite the objections from English Heritage (source 1 and source 2). At 200m, the taller tower will be western Europe's highest all-residential building.
